Gruneisen
VP, Data Center Solutions
Mr. C. Kevin Gruneisen, Jr. is currently the
Vice President of Data Center Solutions at Logicalis, Inc. He has
primary responsibility for developing go-to-market strategies that
allow customers to be more agile and flexible as it relates to the
efficiency and operations of the data center. With 27 years of
experience in the Infrastructure Technology business, Mr.
Gruneisen’s key responsibilities are focused on Data Center
Infrastructure Solutions that involve the day to day facilities and
operational functions of a data center, the role virtualization
plays with helping customers lower their costs of computing and
assisting customers define and maintain their disaster recovery and
business continuity plans.
Prior to taking on the role of vice president,
Mr. Gruneisen held a number of positions with Logicalis. His past
experience includes Practice Director of Virtualization, Practice
Director of IBM Server Solutions, including IBM System x and IBM
Power. He was instrumental in the development of the IBM x86
practice at Logicalis and has overall experience in helping define
and start successful businesses for Logicalis.
Mr. Gruneisen began his career in technology
with IBM in 1984. In the IBM Chicago office he performed a myriad
of jobs which included Systems Engineer (a pre-sales technical
role) and Marketing Representative. His focus was on the IBM
midrange product lines. At IBM he gained experience in the retail
and distribution industry sector, working for 9 years on a large
retail company headquartered in the Chicago area.
Before coming to Logicalis, Mr. Gruneisen
worked for two IBM channel partners. His primary focus was on the
sales of IBM Mid Range products. His most previous employer,
Solution Technology, Inc., was purchased by Logicalis, Inc. in
2004. While at Solutions Technology, Mr. Gruneisen rolled out the
IBM x86 practice as well as the IBM System I practice.
Mr. Gruneisen has a Business of Administration
degree from Bellarmine University, located in Louisville, Kentucky.
He has lived in the Chicago-land area for over 27 years with his
wife and three children.
