Hankins
VP, Cisco Solutions
In 2008, Mr. Hankins was appointed Vice President of Cisco
Solutions. In this role, he manages the business relationship
between Logicalis and Cisco and the overall sales strategy and
enablement across the company. He brings over 25 years of
experience in delivering Information Technology infrastructure
solutions across a variety of storage and server platforms. Mr.
Hankins has an extensive background in sales and sales management,
marketing, product development, brand and channel management.
Mr. Hankins joined Logicalis in 2004 as a result of the acquisition
of Solution Technology Inc. where he was Director of IBM Storage
Solutions. During that time, he managed the sales and support of
IBM Storage products and services. He successfully created and
launched the IBM Storage brand at STI and built a state of the art
multi-vendor server/storage interoperability demonstration center.
He was an active member on multiple vendor advisory councils and
holds numerous industry certifications.
Prior to joining STI in 2000, Mr. Hankins enjoyed a successful
career with the IBM Corporation spanning over 18 years. During his
career at IBM, he held numerous sales and sales management
positions, among them the North America Business Unit Executive
responsible for IBM Storage Area Networking (SAN) sales where he
launched IBM’s first SAN products. He began his career at IBM’s
Boca Raton, Florida facility as a Manufacturing Engineer and was
later promoted to Engineering Manager responsible for IBM’s first
midrange systems product.
Mr. Hankins has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering from Purdue University in Indiana. He, his wife, and
two sons currently reside in Darien, Illinois.
