Solution Provider Extends
Logicalis Enterprise Cloud (LEC) and Promotes Mike Martin to Newly
Created VP Cloud Solutions Role
Farmington Hills, MI, July 19,
2011 – Logicalis (http://www.us.logicalis.com/),
an international provider of integrated information and
communications technology (ICT) solutions and services, continues
to invest in the Logicalis Enterprise Cloud (LEC) providing
expanded solutions for clients. Today, the company announced
it has dramatically expanded its cloud footprint across the Western
United States creating an extension of Logicalis’ current cloud
data center infrastructure.
Logicalis has invested heavily into its cloud
offerings over the past year, including more than $3 million into
the development of the company’s westward expansion of its public
cloud capabilities, as well as its continued focus on both private
cloud design and hybrid cloud solutions. In conjunction with
this expansion, Logicalis also announced today the promotion of its
director of Cloud Computing, Mike Martin, to the role of vice
president of Cloud Solutions for Logicalis, and a nearly three-fold
expansion of the company’s cloud-related staff under Martin’s
expert direction.
“Cloud is a strategic growth market for
Logicalis,” Martin says. “The expansion of our cloud
footprint allows us to continue to build on the momentum we have
experienced in providing managed cloud solutions. We view
this investment as a critical component to providing hosted/cloud
solutions for enterprise clients. The expanded cloud presence
will enable us to increase our cloud services focused on Windows
and Linux solutions as well as support IBM Power 7 solutions
supporting AIX and the IBM i operating systems. This extends
our ability to serve our clients in the western part of the U.S.
while simultaneously strengthening our ability to offer extended
services like disaster recovery and business continuity in the
cloud as well.”
Through an agreement with I/O Data Center
(http://www.iodatacenters.com/),
a provider of digital energy technology, Logicalis’ West coast
cloud computing platform will reside in I/O’s Phoenix, Ariz.,
co-location facility.
This expansion allows Logicalis to extend its
offerings providing flexibility and options to clients in how they
choose to develop and manage their IT needs and expense
structure. Logicalis will continue to focus on its core cloud
methodology and offerings:
- Consult - Provide
architect-level consulting services to help customers assess, plan
and deliver cloud strategies to their organizations.
- Build - Design and build private cloud
environments for single or cooperative clouds.
- Manage - Provide managed services to remotely
manage customers’ private cloud environments.
- Operate - Operate the “Logicalis Enterprise
Cloud” public managed cloud infrastructure.
“Logicalis is making strategic investments in
the expansion of our cloud services because these services are
critical to the success of our clients who depend upon us for the
managed services and IT solutions that give them a competitive
advantage in the marketplace,” says Terry Flood, president and CEO
of Logicalis. “With the expansion of our Logicalis Enterprise
Cloud under Mike’s solid leadership as our new VP of Cloud

solutions, custom-designed private clouds, and any combination of
the two that makes smart business sense.”
