Solution Provider Combines Arizona
Acquisitions, Adds Significant Technology Investment in New
Location
Who: Logicalis, Inc.,
an international provider of integrated information and
communications technology (ICT) solutions and services with
corporate headquarters based in Farmington Hills, Mich., announced
today that it has opened a new office in Tempe, Ariz.
What: The new
Tempe office will house Logicalis’ structured cabling, wireless
microwave, audio-visual, and physical security departments, and
will bring an increased focus on cloud, managed services, unified
communications and networking to clients nationwide.
Logicalis invested in the new facility’s technology, designing
three conference rooms that feature advanced Telepresence
communications capabilities, a 60-person training room, and a new
demo facility with key technologies being used throughout the Tempe
campus for a hands-on experience for both customers and employees
alike.
The new, larger facility will also combine the
Arizona employees of three different entities that have become one
though acquisition:
Network Infrastructure Corporation (NIC), a Phoenix,
Ariz.-based solution provider purchased by Logicalis in December
2010 that provides network consulting and IT services to the
K-12/E-Rate education, state and local government, gaming and
hospitality markets across the Southwestern United States;
Netarx, an IT professional services firm that offers managed
services, data center, collaboration, and infrastructure design
solutions to customers through three Midwest locations as well as
an office in Phoenix, Ariz; and the Arizona business of
Logicalis.
This is the second new office Logicalis has
opened in the past month; Logicalis has also invested in a new
office in Okemos,
Mich., which was opened in December 2011.
Where: Logicalis’ new
Southwestern facility is located at 8945 South Harl Avenue, Suite
102, Tempe, Ariz. There are more than 60 Logicalis employees
moving to the new location. New hires – including account
executives, networking engineers, voice engineers, technical
consultants and cabling technicians – are planned for this location
which was designed with significant room for future growth.
The new office is conveniently located a short
drive from both the Phoenix and Mesa, Ariz., airports, as well as
the
I/O Data Center, a provider of digital energy technology and a
co-location partner that houses Logicalis’ West coast cloud
computing platform.
Quotes: “When Logicalis
makes an acquisition, it is the people and their knowledge base
that we are most interested in acquiring. The experienced
people we have gained through NIC and Netarx in Arizona strengthen
Logicalis’ already solid reputation and skill set, allowing us to
expand the Logicalis brand into the Southwest and throughout the
Western United States. We are pleased with the way in which
the three organizations have come together to work seamlessly as
one, something that speaks to the diligent manner in which
Logicalis has defined its acquisition choices. The new
building we are opening in Tempe symbolizes much more than a new
address and a name change. It symbolizes Logicalis’
commitment to our people, our customers and the community in which
we have made these acquisitions and is representative of the
consolidation of minds and talent that bring Logicalis’ services to
market in a unique and powerful way.” – Terry Flood,
president and CEO of Logicalis
“Logicalis is excited to have opened this new,
state-of-the-art facility in Tempe. Not only are we combining
three brands into one, but we are investing into the infrastructure
in the facility that will give our people the best working
environment possible and our clients the best representation of
what advanced computing systems can provide. At Logicalis, we
pride ourselves on using the very solutions we sell to our
customers. That should give our customers a significant level
of confidence and, in this facility, a place where they can come
and see the positive way the technology impacts our business – and
could impact theirs – on any given day.” – Chris Rafter,
vice president of applications and unified communications solutions
