Logicalis provided the technical and architectural team
to develop and integrate the various services that make up
T-Mobile's existing and ongoing wireless web
initiatives.
The Client
Based in Bellevue, Washington, T-Mobile is a leading provider of
digital wireless communications in the United States. T-Mobile uses
the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) technology - the
world's most widely used digital standard.
The Challenge
T-Mobile wanted to provide key wireless Internet services for its
customers to access their personalized content and services on the
web and on their T-Mobile phone. The wireless Internet services
would need to seamlessly integrate T-Mobile commerce partners into
the wireless Internet service, provide one-click purchasing
capabilities from the phone, generate increased revenue and deepen
T-Mobile's relationship with its customers.
The Solution
As the prime consulting firm for this project, Logicalis provided
the technical and architectural team to develop and integrate the
various services that make up T-Mobile's existing and ongoing
wireless web initiatives. Some of the key integration points
include real-time hooks into backend services such as the SMSC (for
messaging, ring tone downloads), OTA (auto-dial number downloads),
InfoSpace's portal services, billing and ERPsystems.
Key technologies used include HTML, HDML, WAP, Sim Toolkit,
JavaScript, Java (Servlets, Java Server Pages, and Enterprise
JavaBeans), Active Server Pages, Oracle, SQL Server, COM (Java and
C++), SAP, Tuxedo, WebLogic, RightPoint's Campaign Server, Internet
Information Server, Apache, Windows, HP-UX, Solaris.
