Paul Abram is Logicalis’ US Data Center and Enterprise Compute Practice Leader. In this role, Paul focuses on product management of Enterprise Compute (non x86), the Logicalis Enterprise Cloud Suite for IBM Power Systems (AIX and IBM i), storage, backup, high availability and recovery services.
As the practice leader, Paul develops Logicalis solutions and services beyond the sale of individual solution offerings. These solutions and services can include professional services (such as implementations, upgrades, assessments, and migrations), Logicalis Managed Services, and cloud integration options as might be appropriate for the customer’s requirements and objectives. A key component of his role is product management, lifecycle management, and collaboration with other practice leaders across Logicalis’ solution portfolio, including security, network and unified communications, software, and cloud as well as the ISV and healthcare practices.
Paul’s passion is developing lean processes and methodologies in the DevOps collaborative model that encompass enterprise, on-premise and cloud ecosystems and deliver an efficient and effective solution to a customer’s needs.
Prior to his current role, Paul served as Logicalis’ Cloud Practice Manager and later as the Cloud Service Owner where he was responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Logicalis Enterprise Cloud for IBM Power Systems portfolio. Paul focused on strengthening existing service offerings, processes, and procedures. He also coordinated communication and activities between the Logicalis Cloud and Managed Services teams, the Logicalis sales teams, and vendor partners and customers.
Paul joined Logicalis in 2005 as an account executive supporting customers throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. In that role, Paul engaged with his customers across the full scope of Logicalis solution and vendor offerings. Solutions included business continuity and disaster recovery, IT service management, business intelligence, server consolidation and virtualization, storage consolidation, data center redesign and buildout, data protection, backup and recovery, cloud computing, and managed services. Vendor solutions included IBM Power Systems (IBM i and AIX), IBM Storage (XIV, Storwize, DS), Tivoli Software (TSM, Maximo), ServiceNow, VMware, NetApp, EMC, APC, HP, Cisco, and many others.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Kansas. He lives in Apple Valley, Minnesota and is married with two children. When he is not focused on enterprise computing, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, setting off on Canadian fishing trips, and being the elder statesman in his local softball league.
