Solution Provider Expands Its Sales and Services Presence in the West, Adds New Capabilities and Jobs in Tempe Location
NEW YORK, September 20, 2016 – Logicalis US, an international IT solutions and managed services provider (www.us.logicalis.com), today announced the introduction of a new service desk location in its Tempe, Arizona, office, part of a larger plan to grow the organization’s sales and services capabilities in the Western region. Bob Chapp, Senior Director of Service Desk Solutions, will manage all Logicalis service desk operations nationwide.
“As IT professionals adopt more service-defined strategies, they are outsourcing key functions like service and help desk capabilities to skilled third parties like Logicalis that are capable of delivering those services with the high quality and consistency their users both expect and demand,” says Mike Martin, Senior Vice President, Solutions and Services, Logicalis US. “We have long supported our clients’ service desk needs from our Michigan location, and we will continue to do so. As demand has increased for outsourced services, however, our service desk business has grown significantly. To meet that demand, we are increasing our staff and strategically locating the new facility in an area that gives all of our service desk clients access to redundant teams for business continuity purposes.”
Logicalis will be adding at least 30 positions in its Tempe office to support its service desk expansion, and because the new service desk will be located in an area where many businesses are bilingual, it plans to hire a number of Spanish-speaking employees.
“One of the most unique things about Logicalis’ U.S. service desk business is that our employees are not overseas; they are all located inside the United States. And because we are able to provide our services at a price point that delivers a better return on investment for our clients than trying to build out and manage these services on their own in house, our service desk business has grown by 77 percent year over year,” Chapp says. “By expanding our services footprint, we can now bring new talent to Logicalis to serve the needs of our service desk clients while simultaneously developing a career growth plan for those new hires inside the organization.”
The new service desk location comes on the heels of an expansion of Logicalis’ Western regional sales team over the past six months, a move the organization says will allow it to serve clients nationwide end to end.
